can i point out that they’re not actually in a car at all and the dash, seats and cars going by were all added afterwards? they look AMAZING in my opinion! i love the lights from the cars on the character’s faces and the car seats they’re not actually sitting on… it really looks incredible! for realzies!
also i like this script a lot- it had dave written all over it… i think the acting is also dead on… all in all a great piece guys!

Great piece. Really love Kelly Slagle in this piece. Nice work Kelly, glad to finally have you as cast!
Very nice post work here. Although, here’s another secret - those backgrounds (the brick wall)? Completely real. They were not added in post. Just kidding. Maybe.
Nice job folks.

Here’s a neat little post-production secret– Dave wasn’t actually in this spot. He was entirely added in post-production. Or was he?

a fun fact- matthew and jeff did not actually write those comments in post, they wrote them before the show was even thought of. let that one swim around in your brains.

First off, really well written and filmed! Kelly and Dave, you were great! And everything the detective says is pretty much true, which makes it a little scary.
Consequently, I’m scared of Dave now.
And the number eight.
I take comfort in my un-puny arms.

Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly how it happened.
Good job everyone–now my nightmares begin anew.

awesome. Really liked it. Here’s to never forgetting who the bad guys are, and to the fear of dumpsters! yay!

Yay! Awesome work Jeff!!! Dave, of course, rocks.
However notice the extra E in my name. KellEy. The extra E makes me special dammit.
I’m gonna go scrunch up my face some more and cry now ;)

That was well done.
High quality, good writing, solid acting (which coming from me is the greatest compliment you will ever receive, EVER!).

Goddamnit, Kelley. I knew that! How did I screw that up?!? I’m going to go scrunch up my face and cry. Stupid Jeff. STUPID JEFF!
(sorry about that– will you still love us?)

Fun fact: I know where there are some pictures of Jeff dressed like a banana. They are on the internet and they are free.
On topic: I enjoyed the short and was impressed with how much the actress actually looked like she might puke and/or cry toward the end. Well done.

Jeff, that extra E makes Kelley X-Tra special! Shing!
Kelley, our misspelling of your name means that we feel close to you. Close enough to tell you a post production secret. We shot that extra letter on a green screen and then took it out in post.
Really, Jeff was just showing off at that point.

Matthew, Matthew, Matthew. We agreed we wouldn’t tell that the ‘E’ was green screened! Now they’ll know *all* our secrets!
Danni– blackmail, is it?!?
April 10th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
good show, danni… i find the picture of jeff dressed as a banana eating a banana the most disturbing… i haven’t decided if i find it more or less disturbing than all of the scary knowledge dave drops in this piece

Jeff Lofgren is a Man-God for the editing and post work on this. Jeff, this is perhaps my favorite piece that we’ve done this ISH season and I thank you for all your hard work and creativity in raising each episode up to a level of quality unparalleled by anything I’ve seen created for the Internet.
Until May, that is.

Why, David, what happens in May?
April 10th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
Oh, too funny is the visual… a poem, a tribute…
Blond and guts, an outpour of fury envelopes the world and delivers the carcass. Boo-Ya fun-buckets! What I meant was:
Screeching tires and grinding teeth, nightmares and cold sweats. Rotting toenails and stepless runs…
Voiceless Songs and empty embraces
Soundless rains and empty puddles
this is what your film inspires.
Sincerely,
Pumkin George

I also wanted to say that I really liked the look of this. I don’t really know how to explain this, but the car seemed realistic enough not to be distracting, but was also stylized enough to be visually interesting. I’m sure that makes no sense, but good job.

This was swell all around. It’s nice to see all these disparate parts come together so elegantly. Really nice work, guys.
April 16th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Awesome..this was really good! And Kelley, I feel your pain. I usually get Kelly instead of Kelli…*sigh* I know you’re special. Only I can understand.
