That was great. I burst out laugh at “Send me to Jesus camp!!!”
I liked how the picture was in the background was a cameo for people working on the film. One could say that it was forgotten in set dressing, but I think it was adding extra depth by suggesting the family unit was larger than just the people in the film.

Gosh, this was a fun piece to put together. Big upz to Molly, Kevin, and Sarah for their dynamite performances! And mad propz to Caitlin for the great script and awesome co-direction.
And of course, Laura, without whom our lives would be muffin-less.

So good job, I thought it was kind of funny throughout but the last line totally killed me. You cut me with your words, ballin’! Good job people I don’t know!

The actors hit this one out of the park!
Much thanks to David and the g14 crew for making my dream of a self-centered girl and her uncaring parents to life!

Caitlin, nice script. Laughed out loud when i read it, and then realized that Dave didn’t write it, so I allowed myself to laugh even more.
Molly, Kevin, Sarah, nice work. Very subtle and honest, which added to the funny immensely.
Let’s hear it for Dave and the New York team! Yeah, new locations!

Very funny guys - you kept me giggling throughout :) Go NY team! Woo hoo!
Laura, where are my muffins? :)

Kelli
Your muffins are in New York. Please come and get them. They miss you.
And as the only g14 Member and/or VA-based Friend for Life to have visited the location of this piece, you know where to find them.

i’d like to know how/why laura gets a production associate (i.e. associate producer) credit while I am owed about 10,000 of them.

Gavin,
As the greatest living actor of our generation, production associate credits are far, far beneath you. Thank you for the test though. For a second I thought you were going to sneak it by me and I was going to fail, but then I remembered who I was talking to.

Caitlin — so funny! My favorite lines include “So pretty,” “No, she’s an idiot,” and “Listen, oppressors.” I will try to use each of these in a sentence tomorrow.
Great job all :)

Caitlin, Molly, Sarah and Kevin– great job, and it’s wonderful to have you as part of the extended family!
NOTES in no particular order: If only my parents were so accomodating!
-David/Laura- where are MY muffins?
-David- I visited your old apartment, now you want me to visit your *new* apartment?!? Jeez. Pushy.
-Gavin- I second what Matthew said. I’m glad he passed the test. I fear I would have failed.
-Safetysaurus- Let me know how the “Listen, oppressors” line works out. I recommend using it on your parents. I know I will. (mine, not yours)

i have a quick story i wanted to share with everyone: last september while enjoying a leisurely week in emerald isle, north carolina, a few people and myself were in discussions over movies and something that had been bothering me came up. i brought up a movie from the 1980’s that i hadn’t seen or heard anything about since that time. the thing that bothered me the most was that i couldn’t even remember the title. i mentioned a few key facts that i remembered and a little brown friend went to work. within thirty minutes or so of the conversation, your friend and mine, joseph cabrera, had discovered what seemed to be the likeliest of movie titles. fast forward to yesterday. i had a free moment and i was flipping channels and was surfing the home box offices that i receive. i instantly recognized the main character despite not seeing his face since the 80’s. i watched for as long as i could and confirmed beyond any doubt that joey was correct in identifying the mystery movie as “playing for keeps.” i watched for a while and it was as awesomely bad of an 80’s movie as i could have hoped it to be. laughter, tears, music montages with bad dancing, people learning lessons, teens using teamwork and know-how to outsmart adults, and bad site gags, all accompanied by bad acting. it was great. to joey, i thank you for your help. i was taken by surprise that through all these years the movie has been ignored and it randomly appeared on home box office. these are the moments that make life worth living.
