This is so great! Congratulations, guys! It’s great to see Asher on screen and I love this script of Dave’s. A good job all around.

Yeah, stupid tape. Who left that on there!?

I accept full responsibility as the taping artisan. Even though I was on my deathbed with the Sick of Moltar at the time of taping…

And just to be clear… my first reference to “taping” is putting up the blue painters tape. The second was referencing the videotaping of this particular piece. Idiot!

Hey look, I’m on screen. Yay screen! Thanks for filming this guys, thanks for writing this Dave. Everyone was super awesome. Yay.

I was curious about the tape. I wondered if it meant something. If it was an oblique homage to Fellini maybe.
But no, just left over tape.
There was the chance to create some lore here! Anyway… So fun! I loved the last line!
And actually, I have someone in mind that I wish I could send this to in card form. Cards make any news pleasant- deep seated loathing, death, weddings, anything.

Now there’s an idea– g14 cards! We’ll get our crack team of designers on it!

Hey all, a note about criticism– I wanted to make a point of letting everybody know that we don’t mind criticism at all. We don’t want our audience to be the kind that blows smoke up our ass about our videos. We experiment on the vlog a lot– sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. We’re probably a lot harder on our videos than any of you are.
I bring this up because a friend e-mailed me a criticism of this piece, and didn’t feel comfortable calling it out in the comments. My only request is that you remain constructive with your criticism. We love hearing your thought, both good and bad. So don’t feel like you only have to say nice things. Believe me, we’ve probably already been a lot harder on the piece than whatever you are thinking. :)
Thanks for letting me rant.

P.S.– Just for the sake of all things being equal, his criticism was that (and I’m going to paraphrase here) he enjoyed this piece at the start, but by the end of it felt that it got a little mean-spirited.
And just to show that I can take criticism, I’m not going to stick my tongue out at him, waggle my fingers in my ears and say “thppt”!
…aw shit… I just did. Sorry anonymous friend!

I found it very funny - a good twist that was delivered wonderfully. :-)
And please, don’t let this effect your hate of me.

Dear Jeff,
How’s this for criticism: You suck. It seems like you didn’t even do anything on this piece except for edit it. What’s up with that?

Dear A. Nonymous,
It’s true. I do suck.

Wow. PJ? Aren’t you in a different country now?
Huh. Soon we’ll have a whole SIP reunion just in time for Terry’s new show.
