Safetysaurus wouldn’t approve!
Posted October 16th, 2006 by jeff in ProjectsI’ve seen the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment work in person. Sadly, as we discovered yesterday, a crapload of Mentos and Diet Coke in your mouth/stomach does nothing except give you a wicked case of indigestion. My sacrifice was for naught.
Seriously people. I need some posting here. This is what I’ve resorted to. Somebody talk about something funny. I haven’t even seen a movie I can rant about. Where’s X4 or Silent Hill 2 when I need it?

Well, yesterday we really laid it down and shot some very funny stuff which you will be seeing on the blog sometime in the near future. Thanks to Jeff, Kel, Joey, and the Ho for really kicking all kinds of ass.
However, no thanks at all go to Mentos or Diet Coke. After watching YouTube videos of various ‘mixing’ events, I really thought that we were going to make Jeff’s head explode by having him hold the ivory mints in his mouth and then pouring a bottle of Diet Coke in with it. I even made him stand in the yard, because I didn’t want to clean little fragments of Jeff’s head and bits of brain off our new porch a la Sam Jackson in Pulp Fiction. Hell, the least I was hoping for was some sort of concussive blast of foam to come shooting out of Jeff’s mouth, launching unchewed Mentos towards our waiting camera. And what happened?
Nothing. Zero. A concussive blast of disappointment as there wasn’t even any foam. Lame.
Ah well. The scene itself is still very funny - as you all will soon find out.
